Diane Minnis

Diane was active in women’s, lesbian and gay groups from 1972 including Gay Liberation, Women’s Liberation, Radicalesbians, the Gay Trade Union Group, the Gay Solidarity Group and Pride History Group. She was elected to the Board of New Mardi Gras three times from 2004.

Diane was Co-Chair of FMG for five years and Secretary for one year and she served on the SGLMG Committee for six years from 2018. In 2023 Diane was awarded the Pride History Group Award for Excellence, recognising her contribution as a co-founder of PHG and President for four years.

From 2020 to 2024 Diane served as a Global Advisory Council representative in InterPride. In April 2024, she was elected by the InterPride Board to fill a Vice President of Global Outreach vacancy and in late 2025 was re-elected by a global membership vote for a full three-year term. Following a career in the public service, Diane worked on projects in training, communications and change management.
